Pak Ketut Wiriane worked as a dive tour guide in the beach village of Padang Bai, East Bali. But since the pandemic and subsequent decline in tourism, Pak Ketut has been out of work. This has been a difficult season for him and his family. He and his family moved back to his parents’ house to reduce their cost of living and find work there. To help the family have an income, they have been trying to be creative in trying new enterprises. His wife has begun to work selling little things like daily offerings and snacks. Pak Ketut and his family are very thankful to receive a food package and have felt very blessed by ALB’s attention and help during the pandemic.
