Ume Sendi is a very dry and barren landscape and it has been a challenge for the village to have enough water for cooking, drinking, washing and bathing. Their one water source is approximately 300 meters down the mountain from the community.
This location is very dry and no longer has a water source. During the rainy season, the water is not potable and during the dry season there is no water
The people of Sangker, Mengening in north Bali did not have access to a reliable, clean water source. one of the main ways they got water was borrowing from a neighboring village.
Their closest water source is about 6 kilometers (close to 3.5 miles) away from their village. In October 2020, the Access Life water team partnered with the people of Sande in order to build a 5,000 liter water tank.
This area is very dry and even during the rainy season, they don’t get as much rain as other parts of the island. They have difficulty keeping their crops and gardens alive.
Their water source was often dirty and not suitable for consumption. The Access Life Bali water team partnered with the community and built an 11,000 liter water tank that can be used for drinking and for cooking
In April 2019, Access Life Bali began a water project in the village of Insakan, Pedawa, Buleleng. The nearest water source to this village is not very strong, which has led to a great lack of water, especially during the dry season. As a result, water was scarce.
The people of Munduk Juwet were previously dependent on water from rice field runoff. Now every home in the community has running water in their homes.
This project has been a huge success. Pak Nyoman, head of the ALB water team, did an excellent job leading the community in this project.
Early in 2013 we completed a clean water project in this village on the northwest part of Bali. The family to the right, who live in Tinga-Tinga, now have water piped right to their home, thanks to the efforts of our Access Life Bali team.
