Water Project in Uma Sendi

The village of Uma Sendi is located in North Bali. This area is very dry and even during the rainy season, they don’t get as much rain as other parts of the island. They have difficulty keeping their crops and gardens alive. But this community works very well together and had previously taken the initiative to build water storage containers. However, since they didn’t have the skill to do it properly, both of their previous attempts have not really helped them achieve their goal of having water in their village.

In September 2020, the Access Life Bali water team helped the community in this village to build 2 water tanks which services about 10 families. Since the tanks have been installed, the community is currently saving funds to install pipes in order to have running water to each of the 10 houses. We are so proud of their hard work and initiative to see positive changes in their community.
