Kadek Rina was born premature as a twin. Even though her twin sister developed normally, since Kadek Rina was born, she has had physical disabilities including hearing loss and weakness in her legs. Due to the weakness in her legs, she has been unable to stand or walk independently, but scoots around the house on her bottom.
Kadek Rina was very excited to receive a wheelchair from the Access Life Bali team. Now with the use of the wheelchair, she can move around the house more freely and has begun to learn to sweep and do other chores from the wheelchair. Her parents are fisherman and their house is about 300 meters from the beach. Using the wheelchair, Kadek Rina can join the family when they walk to the beach.
